TICKETS

WHEN DOES THE PRE-SALE START FOR THE DOWNLOAD GERMANY FESTIVAL 2022?

The official pre-sale starts on 17.09.2021 at 12:00.

Tickets for Download Germany Festival are available through our official ticket partner Ticketmaster und here.

We advise you not to buy tickets via other platforms, often those tickets are offered at exorbitant prices, or they are ticket counterfeits.

We, as organizers of the Download Germany Festival, support the campaign "No! To the black market". Therefore, we ask you to always purchase your tickets at the known ticket agencies or the official ticketing partners and not through other providers.

WHICH TICKET ALLOWS ME TO ENTER WHICH AREAS?

DAY TICKET (GENERAL ADMISSION):

The Day Ticket (General Admission) gives you access to the infield.

It also gives you access to the barricade sections in front of the stage, provided there is capacity. The barricade sections are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

With the Day Ticket (General Admission) you do not have access to the grandstands.

DAY TICKET SÜDTRIBÜNE:

The Day Ticket SÜDTRIBÜNE gives you access to the block of the Südtribüne, via a separate entrance, where your permanent seat is located.

The Day Ticket SÜDTRIBÜNE does not give you access to the infield.


CAN I STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE STAGE WITH MY DAY TICKET (GENERAL ADMISSION)?

The Day Ticket (General Admission) is valid for the entire infield, including the barricade in front of the stage, provided there is capacity.

In the barricade sections in front of the stage, the first come, first served principle applies.


TICKETS FOR ANTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES

At Download Germany, there will be a barrier-free check-in, barrier-free toilets as well as special parking lots assigned to wheelchair users located close to the Südtribüne.

Tickets for attendees with disabilities with companion are available via Ticketmaster customer service.

ARRIVAL INFORMATION

Arrival / Parking

We have put together some information to help you best plan your arrival:

ARRIVING BY TRAIN

Deutsche Bahn’s general travel information service: 01805 99 66 33 (14 ct/min. from a landline, mobile charge max. 42 ct/min.) or by visiting http://www.bahn.de.

On event day, Deutsche Bahn will be running regular services with extra carriages. In addition, special trains will be operating in the direction of Mannheim and at night after the concert in the direction of Karlsruhe. The train times will be published here in due time.


ARRIVING BY CAR

Please note that you must be in possession of a valid festival ticket before entering the car park. A festival ticket must be shown for every vehicle occupant.

Attendees are requested to follow the event signage when entering the parking areas.

From the north (Mannheim, Frankfurt) exit the A6 at junction 29 Schwetzingen/Hockenheim. From there, take the B36, then follow the signs to the day parking areas P2 and P9.

From the east (Heidelberg, Schwetzingen) the B36 leads to the east entrance via the B291. This is the only access road for coaches! Day attendees should please follow the B36 and further signage to the other parking areas.

From the south (Karlsruhe and A5) exit the A5 at junction 39 Walldorf/Wiesloch. From there, take the B39 and follow the signs to the day parking areas P6 and P20. The route from junction 39 onto the B291 and the east access road is for coaches only.

From the south (Stuttgart, Heilbronn and A6) the route via Hockenheim service station (east side) leads to the day parking areas P5 and P6.

From the south (Karlsruhe, Waghäusel and B36) take the B36 to the southern connecting road/L723, which leads to the day parking areas P5 and P6.

From the west (Speyer, Kaiserslautern and A61) exit the A61 at the Hockenheim interchange. From there, take the L722 towards Hockenheim and follow the signs to the day parking areas P9 and C9.

From the west (B39, L722 and Speyerer Rheinbrücke) take the L722 towards Hockenheim, then follow the signs to the day parking areas P9 and C9.

Use the carpooling platforms www.drive2day.de, www.flinc.org and www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de!

Special additional signage will show you the way. Please observe the symbols and follow the directions.


CAR PARK OPENING TIMES

Day car parks open at 10 a.m. on Friday, 24 June 2022 and must be cleared by 3 a.m.

The individual parking areas will only be opened following approval by the head of operations in the situation centre. Parking is only available in authorised locations and will be assigned by the stewards! Parking outside of approved areas is prohibited and will be prosecuted by the authorities. There is no point in arriving early, since the site is completely sealed off.


ENTRY TO THE CAR PARKS

When entering a car park, all attendees must present a valid ticket!


CAR PARKS

After leaving a car park, reentry to the same car park cannot be guaranteed! Overnight stays in the car parks are not permitted.


TAXI

There will be four taxi ranks:

  • Auchtergrund (Engelbert & Strauss)
  • Hockenheim railway station
  • Contistraße (west of Waldstraße)
  • East access road (car park on the B291)

KISS & RIDE

There will be two KISS & RIDE points:
  • Hockenheim railway station
  • East access road (car park on the B291)

SHUTTLE BUSES ON SITE

No shuttle buses will be provided between the day car parks and the event site. For your safety, and based on experience at the event location with heavily congested roads after the event, it will not be possible to set up any shuttle bus routes. Attendees with limited mobility are requested to plan their time on this basis.


ATTENDEES WITH LIMITED MOBILITY

Download Germany offers barrier-free access, barrier-free toilets and parking for wheelchair users close to the south grandstand. Tickets for wheelchair users and the severly disabled with carers are available via Ticketmaster customer service.

COACHES

Coach operators must register separately with the Hockenheimring and acquire an access permit. Coach access is exclusively via the east access road/B291. The coach park is located in front of the Mercedes grandstand on the race track.


NO CAMPING

The festival will take place without camping facilities. There is also no parking for campers on site. If you are looking for accommodation, we recommend the TRAVEL PACKAGES.


It is essential and in your own interests that you follow the instructions of the stewards and the police. You will recognise stewards by their colour-coded vests. They are also your point of contact for questions or problems!

VOUCHER

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE FESTIVAL AREA

Before entering the festival area for the first time, the tickets will be completely validated. When leaving the premises during the event, the visitor will receive an exit ticket or an exit wristband. To reenter the festival area, the undamaged exit ticket or wristband must be presented together with the validated admission ticket, otherwise there is no entitlement to renewed admission.

Alternatively, the organizer may decide to put on and/or hand out a wristband to each visitor before they enter the festival area for the first time. This replaces an exit ticket or an exit wristband and must be worn undamaged at all times during the event together with the admission ticket.

BARRIER-FREE ACCESS

The Download Germany Festival has with barrier-free access and barrier-free toilets.

Tickets for wheelchair users and disabled persons accompanied by an escort are available exclusively through the Ticketmaster Customer Service.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

We offer a variety of food and beverages at the Download Germany Festival. It is prohibited to bring glass containers of any kind, canisters, glass bottles, cans, PET bottles and / or other drinking containers, your own groceries, food and / or drinks, hard packaging, cool bags or other heavy containers to the festival area.

You may bring empty, collapsible drinking bottles onto the festival site.


DRINKING WATER TAPS

There are free drinking water taps on the festival grounds. There you can fill up your collapsible water bottles.


PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS

Children under the age of 8 are not allowed to be admitted to the event site, even if they are accompanied by a custodial person. Children between the ages from 8 to 14 may only attend the concerts if accompanied by a custodial person or by a person acting with parental authority and each of them are in possession of a valid admission ticket. For young people aged 16 years and over, admission to concerts and musical performances until midnight is approved when unaccompanied by a guardian or person acting with parental authority. The written parental consent / authorisation has to be presented upon entry.

“Persons acting with parental authority” must satisfy the following requirements:

  • the person has reached the age of 18
  • the person can display a proxy of a custodial person stating that the person is acting with consent of the custodial person, a copy of the ID card of the custodial person has to be displayed along with the proxy, too
  • the person can display the maturity required to be able to responsibly provide a child with the support necessary in the situation,
  • able to ensure the child will get home.

FIRST AID

Paramedics will be on duty at the festival site.


NOISE PROTECTION

At concerts, there may be a risk of possible hearing and health damage due to the sound volume. The use of hearing protection is strongly recommended, especially near the stages.


PHOTOGRAPHY / SOUND AND VIDEO RECORDING

Photography for private use is permitted. Only 35 mm cameras and cell phones with camera function are allowed on the site. It is not permitted to bring SLR cameras, cameras with zoom lenses or with video function of any kind. Video cameras and audio recording devices of any kind such as tape recorders, MP3 recorders and dictaphones are also prohibited. Recordings of any kind are prohibited without explicit permission from the organizer / artist.


ANIMALS

It is forbidden to bring animals.


INFO- AND SERVICEPOINT

The info and service point is located at the south grandstand, close to the main access road at the Continental roundabout, near the ticket pre-check. On 24 June 2022, the service point will be manned with knowledgable staff from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. They are your point of contact for all questions surrounding the event, and for any complaints or problems.


LOST PROPERTY

Diese können am Infopoint abgegeben werden. Nach Schließung des Infopoints am jeweiligen Konzerttag werden aufbewahrte Fundsachen der Polizei vor Ort übergeben.


LOCKERS (SafeBOXes)

Our partner Modul-Kombinat supplies locker services (SafeBOXes) for you at the festival forecourt.

Valuables and other important items, which you don’t want to carry on to the festival site, can be deposited here for a fee (i.e. car keys, door keys, sun glasses, medicines, small backpags, bags, jackets, electronic devices etc.). All locker boxes have power supply to allow charging of mobile phones, pocket cameras, powerbanks, laptops etc.). Please mind the available locker box sizes when booking your SafeBOX!

The SafeBOXes service station is located in front of the „Südtribüne“ (the large grandstand), near the main entrance and ticket check at „Conti-Kreisel“ beside the info point. The SafeBOXes are open throughout from 12pm Friday to 01am Saturday. More information and booking options you can find here >>


CASH POINTS

During the concerts, you can get cash out directly on the event site. We have installed mobile cash points for you within the concert area. You can find their locations on the visitor map.


IN AN EMERGENCY, YOU MUST STATE THE LOCATION NUMBER!

Please directly contact the medical service or security personnel on site or at the campsite administration points/ticket offices without delay, stating what help is required (accident, fire).
