CAMPING AREAS
CAMPING AREAS
The use of the camping areas around the Hockenheimring is only permitted for persons with one valid festival ticket and one camping ticket per person. Special caravan camping tickets are available for caravan camping areas. There are different camping areas around the Hockenheimring for which different camping tickets are valid. The location of the camping areas can be found on the parking map (LINK).
- Blue camping area (Camping Parabolica, Caravan Race Track)
- Red camping area (Camping C3)
- Green camping area (Camping C5, Caravan Camping C5)
The organiser expressly advises that all parking and camping areas, with the exception of the caravan camping areas, are separated into parking areas and camping areas.
The permitted space per person in camping areas is a maximum of 6m², so for example 2m x 3m. One (1) pavilion of the maximum size of 3m x 3m is permitted for groups of up to 5 people.
OPENING HOURS OF THE CAMPING AREAS
Camping areas will only be opened following approval by the head of operations in the situation centre. Parking is only available in authorised locations and will be assigned by the stewards. Parking outside of designated areas is prohibited and will be prosecuted by the authorities.
The hours of operation for all camping areas are 2 p.m. on Thursday, 22 June 2023, to 12 noon on Sunday, 25 June 2023.
CAMPING WRISTBAND
Every camping ticket holder will receive a camping wristband at the ticket counter in the camping areas upon presentation of their camping ticket. This serves as your sole access authorisation for the caravan and camping areas, but not for the festival site.
There is a festival wristband counter located at each of the camping wristband counters. Festival attendees can use these to get their access authorisation for the festival site from Thursday onwards.
CAMPSITE ACCESS
Attendees walk with their tent equipment from the associated parking area to the adjacent camping area. Camping wristbands will be checked at the camping area checkpoint. When selecting a camping area, care must be taken to keep escape routes clear. The stewards will ensure that the available space is used optimally. The use of the campsites is subject to the parking and camping rules displayed at the entrances to the campsites.
CARAVAN CAMPING AREAS
In the Caravan Camping Areas Caravan Race Track (blue), Caravan C5 (green) the parking of motor homes, caravans or folding trailers with towing vehicle, car buses with built-in sleeping accommodations and vehicles with roof tents is permitted.
Only in the caravan camping areas combined parking and camping is possible for these vehicles.
POWER SUPPLY IN THE CARAVAN AREAS
Power connections will be provided in the caravan areas for Caravan Camping ticket holders to connect their vehicles and for common use. The connections are provided in individually fused 220V Schuko sockets for direct connection and sub-distribution among attendees. Those who require an adapter to 16A CEE blue (Euroschuko) for connecting their caravan or motorhome must bring this adapter themselves! Attendees wishing to sub-distribute their connection further should bring appropriate outdoor-suitable (!) extension cables or outdoor-suitable cable reels of 50m length. One power connection is provided for every 3 caravan badges sold. These connections will be available at the junction boxes distributed around the caravan camping area. The current draw is limited to 2,000 watts per connection. 3 caravans must share 1 connection.
PROVISION PERIOD AND SERVICE
The connections will be provided and operated from 2 p.m on Thursday, 22 June 2023 to 12 noon on Sunday, 25 June 2023. During this period, electricians will also be available on site to help you with any problems you may have using the connections. You will find a service phone number and a position indication on the junction boxes, so you can contact the electricity team directly in case of problems.
WHAT AM I ALLOWED TO CONNECT TO THE POWER SUPPLY, AND WHAT AM I NOT? In principle, normal household appliances such as refrigerators, taps, small household sound systems, lights, etc. can be operated. The use of higher-consumption appliances such as filter coffee machines or hairdryers should be coordinated with the other users of the connection so as to avoid power cuts. Appliances with extremely high consumption, such as hotplates, electric heaters, fan heaters and air conditioners, as well as amplifiers and professional audio and lighting equipment with high nominal consumption, must not be operated.
DISCLAIMER
The organiser’s liability for the power supply is limited solely to the safe operation of the power generators and the junction boxes connected to them. We expressly advise that in the event of voltage fluctuations and power failures, the organiser accepts no liability for damage of any kind resulting therefrom. Any liability on the part of the organiser ends at the socket with the residual current circuit breaker in the junction box.
From this point onwards, attendees are liable for any damage to themselves or others caused by laying distribution cables, improper use of the power supply and/or connecting or operating unsuitable cables and/or equipment.
ATTENDEES WITH LIMITED MOBILITY
Camping areas for people with disabilities are available for attendees without their own vehicle in the Red camping area (Camping C3). Attendees with their own vehicle can camp in the Blue camping area (Caravan Race Track). A power supply will also be provided there.
